Ariel Bicycle Art Print

The Ariel design is inspired by Coventry’s cycling manufacturing heritage. The unmistakable shape of the penny-farthing was created by Coventry inventor James Starley in 1871. James Starley went into partnership with William Borthwick Smith to form Starley, Smith and Co, where they manufactured the Ariel bicycles in the St. Agnes Works, where the Coventry Transport Museum currently stands.
